China/Japan Trip- Getting There

Jaime and I woke up about 6am PST on Monday May 25, 2009. We showered, ate a quick breakfast, and headed to the X parking lot at SDSU where we would meet up with the rest of our study group members and leave for LAX via two shuttle vans. I hadn't slept too well the night before mostly due to excitement.

After arriving at LAX, we checked in and got our boarding passes. We would board a flight that would take us to Tokyo, Japan, and then from Tokyo we would fly to Beijing, China.

We finally arrived at the newly constructed turtle shaped terminal at Beijing's international airport after spending about 16 hours in the air plus all the wait time.

After going through customs and exchanging some American dollars for Chinese Yuan, we met Miranda who would be our guide in China and got on the bus that would take us to our hotel.

wow, so awesome! i love that you and Jaime really thought about taking pictures from beginning to end and not missing any detail. For example, the envelope for the hotel room card! that's pretty cool. I hope to see more pictures soon. :p

Thanks Joyce, actually I kept two zip lock bags (one from China and one from Japan) that I put things like receipts from restaurants, hotel room info, tickets to museums, left over small billed money, etc, so I could put them in a scrapbook later and scan them in to the computer and use for my blog.
